Mobile users who are still using Android version 2.3.7, iOS 8 and all Windows Phone will not be supported by WhatsApp after February 1, 2020.
According to WABetainfo, the WhatsApp will no longer support devices running iOS 8.
However, according to the new decision, users can still use the WhatsApp app on iOS 8 but cannot verify the account if they install it.
The update states, "On iOS, you can no longer create new accounts and re-verify existing accounts."

WhatsApp has regularly added new features and some of these features require powerful phones and newer Android and iOS versions to work properly.
WhatsApp stated, "For the best experience, we recommend that you use the latest version of iOS available for your phone.
"We do not explicitly ban prison breaks or use of unlocked devices. However, because these modifications may affect your device's performance, we cannot provide support for devices using modified versions of the operating system of the iPhone.
All iPhone users are recommended to update their operating system before February 1, 2020.
